Cambridge International Academy’s Pre-University Summer Residential Programme for 15 to 17 years old students is an authentic Cambridge experience that you will never forget. The Programme is specially designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills that will help you with your university preparations. You will be studying and making friends with peers who are outstanding and committed students studying similar international curricula in their home countries.

Our lecturers and tutors are experts in their respective fields, being current Cambridge academics and Oxbridge graduates. Their interesting and engaging teaching enables our students to gain first-hand an insight into what it is like to study at one of the world’s leading universities.

Our customised visits in 2020 will include the following 10 universities. You may visit up to 6 of them.

Option 1: Birmingham and Warwick or Nottingham and Loughborough

Option 2: Imperial or London School of Politics and Economic Sciences

Option 3: King’s College London or University College London

Option 4: University of Oxford & University of Cambridge (Please see admission criteria for further information)

Educational & Enrichment Activities

We believe in the importance of both working and playing hard.

Our Educational Activities include: inspirational talks, guided city tours (Cambridge, Oxford and London), and problem solving activity.

Our Enrichment Activities include: outdoor adventure camp, cultural games, talent show and a visit to Harry Potter Studio or Windsor Castle.

CamIntAc is like a big family with warmth & love. The two days of outdoor adventure camp were the my most memorable experience of my year.

Facilities, Accommodation & Food

Our Pre-University Summer Residential Programme is held at Clare College, the University of Cambridge. We contract with Clare College and faculties of the University for the use of facilities but otherwise have no connection or association with Clare College or the University of Cambridge.

All accommodation is at Clare College with an en-suite bathroom. In 2020, we have both single and double rooms available.  Single rooms will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Female and male students are housed separately and supervised by at least one member of staff. A 10pm curfew is strictly enforced so students may not leave their bedrooms after this hour. All meals are provided at Clare College’s self-service style student cafeteria. Meals are the typical food a Cambridge student is served.

During overnight outings students are accommodated in standard 3 or 4-star twin rooms. During the ‘Outdoor Adventure Camp’ students will spend one night in simple accommodation with bunkbeds and sleeping bags (provided by the Academy). Meals are provided as appropriate depending on the nature of the particular outing.
